New build house using French limestone in Oxfordshire

New build house using French limestone, St Maximin.

A private client asked us to help provide the French limestone, Saint Maximin in this project for the interiors of the building designed by Robin Partington.

The contemporary feel is overwhelming: the sharp high wall (nearly 5 meters) all in stone ashlars are bedded with 2 mm joints. The stone floor, limestone tiles of a large format in random length are butted against each other.

The scheme completely blends in  with the limestone rolling hills of Oxfordshire. The Saint Maximin Liais (like the Armani store created by the architect Claudion Silvestrin) was chosen for the flooring. The bathrooms have solid marble baths and stone sinks which are very low key but very nicely detailed.
